Ryan Mendel is a musical theatre performer, choreographer, actor, and singer born and raised in Montreal, with over 12 years of dance and performing experience. After graduating from McGill University, he spent a year training in theatre in Melbourne, Australia, before moving to New York City to pursue a Master's degree in Dance/Movement Therapy while continuing his training in musical theatre, dance, and voice with Broadway professionals. After several years in New York, Ryan relocated to Toronto, where he now pursues dual careers as a performer, choreographer, and dance/movement therapist.

Ryan's approach to choreography is rooted in performance and storytelling through movement. As he puts it, "Moving the body is one thing, but the ability to convey a story through movement is a whole new ballgame." He believes that dance classes should be a safe space to make mistakes, take risks, learn, and grow. His goal is to foster a supportive and welcoming community where dancers encourage one another, celebrate each other's successes, and learn together in a positive environment.
