THE NEW MINI MUSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOP (for ages 3-6)

In this workshop kids will work with a Director, Musical Director and Choreographer to create a fun musical theatre performance to be showcased to family and friends. Kids will begin to explore their voices and their creativity while having fun in a caring nurturing environment. This workshop is NOT TO BE MISSED!

STARPOWER SUMMER DANCE & DRAMA CAMP (for ages 3-18)

Experience the fun of a whole week of dance and drama! This Summer Camp will be sure to inspire the joys and creativity of the Arts for children and teens of all ages. There is a special final showcase for families and friends at the end of the week! LEARN HOW TO DANCE, SING and ACT! We are offering this unique summer camp to children and teens from ages 3-18!

TRAIN WITH PROS FOR THE UPCOMING TORONTO BILLY ELLIOT MUSICAL AUDITIONS!

THE BILLY ELLIOT AUDITION WORKSHOP (For Ages 5+)

(4 week sessions)

May 16 - June 20
July 11 - August 8
August 29 - September 26

Casting for Billy Elliot the musical will begin in the fall for girls, women, boys and men ages 5-50. Obtain an upper hand on others and train with the pros who will help prepare you for the auditions.

TAP -Learn tap moves from Billy Elliot the musical, and hone in on your tap skills for the audition dance calls.

BALLET-Billy Elliot the musical calls for ballet dancers. Learn some specific ballet technique used in the Billy Elliot musical, and brush up on your ballet skills to prepare for the audition dance call.

AUDITION TECHNIQUE- Learn some of the basic singing and acting techniques, and work hands on to prepare your audition song for Billy Elliot the musical.

About Our Program

City Dance Corps is committed to provide a caring and supportive environment for our students to explore their creative independence and activate their self-motivation. We believe that young talent flourishes best when nurtured by a sense of accomplishment, confidence, self-esteem, and joy. Our studio provides a home where both the performance-oriented dancer and the recreational dancer will feel encouraged to express and deepen their creative and artistic gifts. Developing a strong technique is fundamental to exploring a variety of dance forms. We are very conscientious in providing our students with sound technique to prevent injury, to expand ability, and to promote many years of dance enjoyment.

Our youth program is for the dancer whose goal is to work at enhancing their dance skills and experiencing the thrill of showcasing those skills in a stage performance before an audience. In a series of carefully integrated lessons, the program builds on a foundation of healthy training and creative practice. The student will learn to develop and sustain their stamina and techniques necessary for the performance environment while experiencing growth in self-esteem, ability, and the joy of dance.
