Geneviève hails from Georgetown, ON, a small town just outside of Toronto. She began dancing at the age of 4 and playing the piano at age 5. Following through with both disciplines throughout her childhood, Geneviève’s musical knowledge has proven to be a great tool in her teaching. She began teaching at the age of 14 and, by the time she graduated from the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts, she had acquired many skills that have helped her become a more well rounded teacher. Geneviève is an Associate tap, jazz, and acro teacher with the British Association of Teachers of Dance, she possesses Intermediate certification through the Royal Academy of Dance, and she is certified at a Grade 10 Piano and Grade 3 Theory level through the Royal Conservatory of Music. Geneviève has also been working towards learning the Performing Arts Educators of Canada syllabi.
Geneviève is a triple threat performing artist, musician, and teacher currently active in the industry and represented by JBM Entertainment. She has been and continues to be seen in various performances with What’s On? Tap!, an all-female tap company directed by Kim Chalovich, as well as Everett Smith’s Bringing Tap Back and the Ryan Foley Company. She has also performed with the Toronto Rhythm Initiative, as well as independently as a feature artist in various fundraisers and showcases around the GTA. Geneviève is very grateful to be able to pursue teaching and performing as a career, and she loves to share her passion with aspiring artists!
