Alyson is a Toronto based dance artist originally from Salisbury, New Brunswick. Her dance journey began at a very young age, focusing primarily on Ballet (Vaganova), Contemporary, Jazz and Modern. In 2010 she was invited to attend a Parisian summer dance tour where she was honoured to train with some of the world’s best teachers and choreographers.  The following year Alyson was a participant in the Canada Games “National Artist Program”, where over a two week period artists of all disciplines collaborated to build a self produced performance taking into account gender equity, the inclusion of visible minorities, and province’s diverse cultures and demographics. 

In 2011, at 17, Alyson moved to Toronto to further her training at George Brown College.  While at George Brown, Alyson consistently remained an honours student and was offered a Mentorship with Ballet Jorgen upon graduating from the Dance Performance Program.  Following graduation Alyson became a full-time member of Cadence Progressive Contemporary Ballet.

Alyson has been a full-time faculty member of the prestigious School of Cadence Ballet since 2013 and a very proud faculty member of City Dance Corps since 2015. 

Alyson is currently a member of Toronto/Halifax based Nostos Collectives Dance Association where a diverse group of young artists from various training backgrounds collaborate to create original works. 

As a performer, Alyson has worked with many artists including Alysa Pires, Naishi Weng, Brian Solomon, Rodney Diverlus, William Yong, Roberto Campanella, Robert Glumbeck, Hanna Kiel, Courtnae Bowman and Zhenya Cerneacov.  She has performed at New Blue Dance Festival, Dance Ontario Weekend and Dance Made in Canada as well as been featured on screen on CTV’s “The Listener” and in the film “On the Ropes”.
